Position SummaryThe Boutros Laboratory at Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute invites applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Scholar to conduct innovative research in computational cancer biology, data science, and precision oncology. Under the direction of Dr. Paul
C. Boutros, Director of the NCI-designated Cancer Center at SBP, this role offers the opportunity to develop and apply advanced analytical methods to large, complex cancer datasets and contribute to translational research programs within a multidisciplinary biomedical research environment.
- Lead independent and collaborative research projects.
- Develop and implement computational methodologies.
- Analyze genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, imaging, and clinical datasets.
- Prepare manuscripts and present findings at scientific conferences.
- Mentor junior trainees when appropriate.
- Education:
PhD or equivalent in a quantitative discipline such as Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Biostatistics, or Computer Science. - Experience:
Strong programming skills in Python and/or R. - etc:
Demonstrated research productivity.
- Experience with high-throughput molecular data (WGS, RNA-seq, spatial omics, mass spectrometry, etc.).
- Experience working on a high-performance computing environment
- Publication record in computational biology or cancer biology related areas.
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

CompensationThe expected hiring rate for this position is $70,304.00 - $77,334.40/annually commensurate with Postdoctoral experience.
