Strategic Support Specialist

THOR Solutions is actively seeking a Strategic Support Specialist to contribute to the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific Strategic Team in San Diego, CA. The individual will research, write about, and summarize technical strategic topics, as well as contribute to the team’s planning process and monthly meetings. This position interacts with and provides recommendations to senior government leadership  ideal candidate will have experience monitoring and writing on strategic or technical topics, coordinating events, and working with senior government individuals in a Navy/DoD environment.

• Provide primary support to the NIWC Strategic Team by fulfilling all tasks and duties as required.
• Conduct research on trending political topics or policies and summarize findings to share on the NIWC Hub. Participate in planning meetings to select topics. Provide feedback/review functions to other team members’ writings.
• Perform extensive research to support the Strategic Team with Environmental Scan (ES) projects. Present or answer questions related to ES topics.
• Stay updated on the latest Strategic Plan released by the Navy and other military branches.
• Schedule and coordinate meetings and events including agenda
