Job Summary:
The purpose of the study director position is to provide hands‑on experimental study design, validation, execution, analysis, and reporting of oncology related studies at Crown Bioscience San Diego. This position will have a particular emphasis on proteomics and soluble protein detection.
Responsibilities:- Study design, protocol development and optimization, and study report writing and reviewing.
- Support the global biomarker platform in development and validation on new/existing technologies with an emphasis in proteomic‑related assays.
- In charge of internal/external project execution, management, and timely delivery.
- Resolve scientific and other issues to reach client satisfaction.
- Communication with external and internal partners/clients.
- Provide data reports and information necessary to facilitate business development activities.
- Scientific and technical training of group members.
- Laboratory/team support and daily experiment management and execution.
- SOP writing, reviewing, and implementing.
- Complete a variety of other assignments as assigned from peers and leaders.
- Ph.D. in related biology field or master’s with minimum 3 years of experience in immunology, molecular biology, cancer biology, biomarker, immunohistochemistry, histopathology, and related fields.
- Broad expertise and hands on experience in immuno‑oncology and related technology platforms.
- Capable of experimental design, protocol development, and data report writing.
- Clear, concise, and thorough communication with a variety of biotech/pharma clients on study activities.
- Capable of troubleshooting and critical data analysis.
- Demonstrated capability of team building and management
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written
- Capable of scientific presentation, both oral and written
- Efficient and capable of meeting timelines.
- Open to new ideas, ambitious, innovative and result oriented.
- Pleasant interpersonal skills and able to support other departments in a variety of roles.
The California salary range for this position is: $90,000 - $110,000
This salary (or salary range) is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience.
