Associate Researcher

In this role, you will contribute to the company's efforts to develop and characterize novel therapeutic candidates for diseases such as inflammatory and fibrotic disorders.

The successful candidate will have a strong cellular biology and immunology background and will be expected to work in an engaged manner in a collaborative cross-functional team environment, perform experiments, organize and analyze results, communicate effectively and present findings in team meetings.

$35.00/hr - $45.00/hr

• In vitro and ex vivo cell culture and studies with mammalian cell lines and primary cells, including immune cells such as T cells and myeloid cells
• Perform in vitro/ex vivo functional assays to evaluate the efficacy and characterize mechanism of action of our therapeutic candidates
• Independently plan and execute in vitro/ex vivo functional assays with mammalian cells according to project timelines and goals
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cellular biology and immunology/immunotherapy field
• Perform multi-tasks within and across projects, demonstrating strong abilities to prioritize, plan, and deliver in a timely and consistent manner
• Effectively communicate plans and results in both oral and written form
• Ability to work in a highly dynamic collaborative team environment

• Undergraduate or master’s degree in Immunology/Cell Biology
• Excellent mammalian cell/tissue culture and sterile technique required
• Extensive experience in cellular and immunological assays, and experience with isolation, manipulation and functional analysis of human primary immune cell subsets in whole blood and PBMC
• Expertise with flow cytometry and data analysis (FACSDiva, Flow Jo), live cell imaging, cell staining and microscopy, gene expression analysis, and cytokine analysis highly desirable
• Self-motivated, highly responsible, and willing to accept temporary responsibilities outside of initial job description
• Strong organizational skills and record keeping
• Proficient in using data management programs such as MS Office and Graph Pad Prism
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential in this collaborative work environment
