Overview

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Asset Manager to join our team!

The Asset Manager will be responsible for overseeing the performance, operational efficiency, and financial outcomes of a diverse portfolio of multifamily properties. This role requires a deep understanding of real estate markets, financial analysis, property operations, and tenant relations, as well as the ability to manage capital expenditures, optimize income, and minimize expenses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regularly evaluate financial and operational performance of assigned properties and implement strategies to maximize return on investment (ROI).
  • Review and analyze profit and loss statements, rent rolls, and operating budgets to assess asset performance.
  • Develop annual budgets, monitor cash flows, and ensure financial goals are met or exceeded.
  • Ensure key metrics such as Net Operating Income (NOI), occupancy rates, tenant retention, and maintenance costs are consistently met.
  • Oversee and assess the implementation of capital improvements (renovations, upgrades, etc.) to enhance asset value and tenant satisfaction.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across operational expenses, maintenance, and property management fees.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, contractors, and property management companies to ensure services are performed cost-effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure tenant satisfaction through effective issue resolution, while maintaining a positive relationship between tenants and the property group.
  • Work with senior management to define long-term strategies for asset growth, including acquisition, disposition, and refinancing opportunities.
  • Ensure properties are in compliance with local, state, and federal laws, including fair housing regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as an asset manager, property manager, or in a similar real estate role, with a focus on multifamily properties.
  • Proven track record of managing a multifamily portfolio and optimizing asset performance.
  • Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and cash flow analysis.
  • Familiarity with real estate acquisition, disposition, and financing processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed recommendations.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with vendors, property managers, tenants, and senior leadership.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Must be able to pass a background check and company-policy drug screen.
