Emergency​/Patient Care Veterinary Technician

About Veterinary Specialty Hospital

Veterinary Specialty Hospital (VSH) is looking for a full‑time Veterinary Technician to join our Overnight Intermediate Care/Patient Care Team.

As a Vet Tech in the Intermediate Care/Patient Care department you will be responsible for:

• Collecting samples, placing IV catheters, preparing IV fluids and additives
• Administering medication
• Measuring blood pressure
• Prioritizing procedures and delegating tasks; triage emergencies, prepare estimates, admit patients, discharge patients
• Assisting in preparing diagnostics including radiographs and lab work
• Working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment
• Demonstrating compassion in all levels of patient care

Overnight days TBD, 3‑12 hour shifts.

• RVT: 2–3 years of experience in a progressive veterinary hospital required
• VA: 3–4 years of experience in a progressive veterinary hospital required
• RVT preferred
• VA graduate from an accredited program considered

• VA: $23–$30/hr
• RVT: $26–$35/hr
• VTS: $38–$50/hr
