About the Position:
The Lead Dog Bather plays a vital role at Scenthound, providing efficient services that meet quality standards while training and leading team members.
This position requires:
- At least 2 years of dog bathing experience (paw and sanitary trims preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and stand for long periods
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to work in a smoke-free environment
Who We Are Looking For:
We seek a detail-oriented dog lover passionate about cleanliness and health. The ideal candidate is resilient, perceptive, patient, adaptable, and compassionate. Motivated to grow within our training program towards becoming a Scenthound Groomer!
Tasks:
- Prepare dogs for grooming according to service tickets
- Perform bathing, blow drying, nail clipping/grinding, ear cleaning, brushing, teeth cleaning, and gland expression
- Perform basic paw and sanitary trims
- Identify health indicators and record them in the S.C.E.N.T. Check app
- Collaborate with team to complete services
- Assist and seek assistance to maintain schedule
- Train and onboard new hires
- Ensure safety of dogs and team members
- Follow sanitary and cleaning protocols
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager
