DESCRIPTIONClinic RN Coordinator support for ENT/Plastics. This role is responsible for clinical support, scheduling, quality improvement, education, and strategic planning for the ENT/Plastics surgical service line.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Assist with call scheduling and staff assignments for the ENT/Plastics surgical line.
- Serve as a clinical expert and role model; develop new policies and procedures; participate in daily rounds to manage issues.
- Develop work schedules as required for specialty teams; review daily OR schedules.
- Perform conflict checks for equipment, instruments, devices, and ancillary staffing requirements.
- Plan and execute long‑term strategic activities to ensure systems, procedures, and equipment are organized for high quality and cost standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan for department growth, onboarding of new surgeons, and addition of new procedures and technology.
- Lead departmental quality metrics and QA activities; participate in process improvement activities.
- Educate and train new hires, mentor and coach nurses; onboarding of new surgeons, residents, fellows, and new procedures or technologies.
- Develop teaching/training materials for new procedures, equipment or technologies.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- RN license issued by the State of California.
- BART or BLS at time of hire; commitment to obtain BART within 6 months of hire date.
- Five (5) years of OR nursing experience; at least two (2) of those years supporting ENT/Plastics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Decision making, problem solving, and prioritizing skills.
- CNOR or certification within the surgical specialty.
- ACLS and/or ART.
- Flexible to work variable hours, days, shifts, on‑call and locations based on the 24‑hour medical center’s business needs.
- Employment subject to a criminal background check and pre‑employment physical.
Annual Full Pay Range: $146,578 - $205,167 (prorated if appointment percent < 100%). Hourly Equivalent: $70.20 - $98.26.
