Overview
RN – Cardiac PCU SCVC 3B (Nights). 12-hour night shifts, 90% appointment, 90% work schedule, 1 opening. Salary: $66.25 - $92.86 per hour. Worksite:
Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center. Department: LJ SCVC 3B PCU. Union: NX Contract. Hiring Pay Scale: $66.25 - $92.86 / Hour.
- Deliver direct, hands-on care to critically ill cardiology patients on a 15-bed Progressive Care Unit using the nursing process in a clinic-style environment.
- Assess and monitor patients with advanced cardiology interventions (e.g., post-angioplasty, pacemakers, CABG, vascular revascularization, balloon pulmonary angioplasty).
- Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team under physician oversight.
- Educate patients and families to promote self-care, understanding of their condition, and treatment adherence.
- Manage and maintain clinic equipment; ensure supplies are organized and readily available.
- Handle complex, high-acuity cases requiring advanced clinical skills and vigilant monitoring.
- Operate within a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 or 1:4 with continuous 24-hour physician coverage.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- RN license issued by the State of California.
- BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications at time of hire with commitment to obtain ART within six months of hire date.
- Two years of recent acute care RN experience in Cardiac Progressive Care (General Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Cardiac Interventional, and Cardiac Electrophysiology demonstrated in resume).
- Understanding of nursing-sensitive indicators relevant to Cardiac Progressive Care; ability to promote quality and safety outcomes.
- Strong critical thinking, nursing skills in cardiac population, and ability to implement and evaluate care plans.
- Excellent interpersonal, decision-making, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to provide individualized care to vulnerable populations and to handle unexpected challenges in a team-centered environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, and external constituents.
- Experience with participation in shared governance or equivalent.
- BSN.
- IMU experience.
- PCCN, CSC, and CMC certifications.
- Ability to work various hours, days, shifts, on-call, and locations based on the Medical Center’s needs.
- Criminal background check and pre-employment physical required.
Pay transparency:
Annual Full Pay Range: $138,330 - $193,892 (prorated if appointment
