LVN / Licensed Vocational Nurse – Hospice Runner

Join us at Apreva Hospice as a Hospice Runner (LVN). This part‑time role supports weekend patient care in private homes, facilities and hospitals.

We are seeking a compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide hands‑on nursing care, routine assessments, symptom management and skillful coordination with the interdisciplinary team. Your impact will be felt across various settings, ensuring comfort and dignity for patients and families.

• Every Saturday and Sunday – 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Every other Saturday and Sunday – 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday – 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

• Provide direct patient care, including pain/symptom management.
• Implement nursing practice following a comprehensive assessment and plan of care.
• Document patient services accurately and timely.
• Assess and educate patients and families/caregivers.
• Coordinate hospice services with interdisciplinary team.
• Evaluate patient response to treatments/medications.
• Participate in professional growth, development opportunities and quality assessment activities.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal legal and regulatory requirements.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

• Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program with current licensure in the state of operation.
• Three years of nursing experience; community health / hospice or medical/surgical experience preferred.
• Knowledge of hospice philosophy of care.
• Commitment to clinical and documentation excellence.
• Licensed driver with a personal vehicle insured and in good working order in accordance with state and/or organization requirements.
• Current CPR certification.
