UC San Diego Health has held its Magnet status since 2011.

Jacobs Medical Center 3GH ICU is a 24‑bed Medical Surgical ICU with an emphasis in Oncology, BMT, COVID, and Abdominal Transplants. Patient populations include those requiring VV‑ECMO cared for by internal 3GH ECMO Specialists, neuro, stroke, cardiology, and obstetrics.
