Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Full-Time

Position

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited practical nurse or vocational nursing program.
  • Minimum 1 year professional experience as an LPN/LVN required. Three years nursing experience with Community health/hospice or medical/surgical experience preferred.
  • Currently licensed as an LPN/LVN in the State.
  • Complies with accepted professional standards and practice.
  • Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills.
  • Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order.
  • Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
  • Understand philosophy of hospice concept. Also understands needs of the terminally ill.

    LPN – Licensed Practical Nurse

    Job Description

    Worldwide Medical Staffing is a Native‑Veteran‑owned staffing agency with a 30‑year service history with US Government Hospitals.

    We are actively seeking a full‑time Licensed Practical Nurse (LVN/LPN) in San Diego, CA at the San Diego Veterans Hospital to join our team.

    Our contract assignments range from a minimum of 13 weeks to 1 year with the mutual option to extend, giving you the opportunity to broaden your horizons and choose a different adventure.

    Requirements:

    • Active and unrestricted LVN/LPN license from ANY State.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in direct patient care.

    Responsibilities:

    • Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
    • Monitor and assess the patient's vital signs and condition.
    • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
