Description
Under the direct supervision of a registered nurse on the Float Team, the LVN performs a wide variety of patient care activities, including triage prioritization, patient examinations, medication administration, phlebotomy, laboratory test preparation, patient education, venipuncture, and IV access. The candidate must be proactive, able to prioritize critical demands, and work effectively in a team environment.
The position may float to additional clinics in North County and throughout San Diego; travel willingness is required.
Hiring may occur at either the LVN or Sr. LVN level, depending on the selected candidate’s experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) issued by the state of California.
- BART or BLS at time of hire, with commitment to acquire BART within six (6) months.
- Demonstrated recent experience in a similar role and setting.
- Must possess the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Intravenous Therapy issued by the state of California (LVN IV).
- Phlebotomy certification.
- Primary Care experience.
- Ambulatory experience.
- Point‑of‑Care testing experience.
- Procedure experience.
Special Conditions
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, on‑call, and overtime as needed.
- Must be willing to work at various locations based on business needs.
