BEERS and Volun
CHEERS—which celebrate volunteerism across San Diego.
VolunBEERS is a quarterly service project hosted at local breweries or restaurants, where up to 100 volunteers gather to complete hands‑on projects for local nonprofits while enjoying craft drinks.
VolunCHEERS is an annual volunteer appreciation celebration held each April during Global Volunteer Month
. Planning begins in the fall and involves coordinating logistics, securing donations, and creating a meaningful recognition event.
- Research and build relationships with local breweries, volunteers, and nonprofit partners.
- Identify community needs for quarterly Volun
BEERS events. - Promote Volun
BEERS on community calendars, create social media posts, flyers, and other marketing materials. - Increase donations and solicit in‑kind donations to cover the cost of materials.
Time Commitment: Flexible, 3–6 hours/month for at least 6 months.
Onboarding Process: Application, interest phone call, background check, and orientation. The process typically takes 1–2 weeks.
Desired Skills/
Experience:
Interest in or experience with fundraising, event planning, craft projects, volunteer management, and/or project management.
Physical Requirements: The opportunity can be accommodated for individuals with physical limitations.
Location: Remote with occasional meetings at event venues.
Age Minimum: 18+ (with adult).
