ENGAGE:
Flood Relief Pop-Up Event Support

Support the San Diego community by volunteering with the San Diego Regional Community Recovery Team at a pop-up event toprovide relief for families impactedby the January 2024 floods.

Volunteers will be setting up the donation distribution booths by assembling canopies, tables, chairs, signage, and donations. Then, they'll distribute donations by category to flood survivors.

Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes

Attire: Closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing. This opportunity takes place outdoors with plenty of shade.

Bring: Water bottle and sunscreen, if needed.

Physical Requirements: Volunteers will be bending and must be able to lift 30 lbs. Unfortunately this opportunity is not able to make accommodations for individuals with physical limitations. The space where this project takes place is wheelchair accessible.

Waiver: Volunteers will be required to sign in and complete a waiver upon arrival.

Weather: This project will take place rain or shine.

Note: Additional instructions for parking will be sent to registered volunteers 24 hours prior to the event.

About Community Recovery Team

The San Diego Regional Community Recovery Team (RCRT) is a program of San Diego's Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster (SDVOAD). The Regional Community Recovery Team is a network of nonprofit, government, community, and faith-based organizations active in disaster recovery. Collectively, RCRT forms the infrastructure of disaster recovery for the San Diego region.
