Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Production Controller in San Diego Rancho Carmel Location. This position will require to be on site, no remote work available. Schedule will be 9/80 1st shift.

The ideal candidate will maintain schedules for material requirements and availability for the manufacture of industrial and commercial products to support production control. Compiles records concerning quantity, cost, and type of material received, shipped, in stock or inventory, and/or in production. Expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules. Assists in determining possible and actual shortages, may initiate action to correct these deficiencies.

Uses knowledge of production, procurement, and engineering departments to alert proper authorities regarding potential problems and appropriate remedial action. Estimates and logs production rate and time expenditures and may be required to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates.

This position will be responsible for the following:

  • Timely movement of hardware between work cells and induction of field hardware by capturing condition status and updating the system of record.
  • Utilize SAP and other internal tracking systems to manage all production and repair orders that support Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
  • Collaborate with multiple organizations to ensure daily priorities support weekly/monthly sales plan, including Supervisors, Engineering, Operations, Program management, Technicians, Operators, Mission Assurance, and Stockroom personnel ensuring that the daily priorities support weekly/monthly sales plan.
  • Expedite flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments and or work cells.
  • Assists in determining shortages, and initiate action to correct these deficiencies.
  • Uses knowledge of production, procurement, and engineering departments to alert leadership regarding potential problems and appropriate remedial action.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED and 0 years additional education and/or experience.
  • Functional understanding of Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and move product within the facility.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
  • Must be able to obtain security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelors with 3 years related experience.
  • Knowledge of SAP similar ERP software.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing work flow and MRP systems or similar.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Primary Level Salary Range: $32,600.00 - $54,500.00
