The Elevator Support Unit seeks an experienced trainer to develop and deliver training programs on electro‑hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems—including cargo weapons elevators, aircraft elevators, vertical package conveyors, and hanger/divisional doors aboard U.S. Naval carriers. The role requires travel to ships, including underway and/or flight operations.

• Design and develop technical shipboard training for all personnel levels using technical references (tech manuals, blueprints, drawings, etc.).
• Develop tests, visual aids, and criteria for evaluating training effectiveness.
• Communicate with customer leadership to build long‑term relationships.
• Develop an in‑house program to identify developmental needs and prepare assignments.
• Develop e‑learning and potentially virtual reality systems.
• Utilize student guides and other training aids aboard a U.S. Carrier.

• Minimum of 6 years relevant experience with a bachelor's degree; or 4 years relevant experience with a master’s degree; or high school diploma with 10 years relevant experience.
• Knowledge of training principles, concepts, and practices.
• Advanced knowledge of shipboard aircraft and weapons elevators (electro‑hydraulic) and general knowledge of advanced weapons elevators, vertical package conveyors.
• Hands‑on experience and working knowledge of shipboard electrical and/or electro‑hydraulic systems.
• Experience communicating with government or related customers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to carry up to 50 lbs of training aids aboard a U.S. Carrier.
• Willingness to travel.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain base access credentials.

• Naval Master Training Specialist preference.
• Current, valid DoD confidential security clearance or higher.
• Hands‑on experience with shipboard mechanical and/or pneumatic systems.

May require working in an industrial or shipboard environment. Must be able to climb ladders, stand for extended periods, and tolerate confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
