Compensation

The pay range for our Associate Moldmaker position is$25 to $29 hourly
.

This range represents a good-faith estimate based on the qualifications we expect to find in a successful candidate. Actual compensation offered may be less or greater than this estimate based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, our assessment of your ability to bring value to our organization.

We offer

  • A position within an established company that has over 40 years of experience
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Traditional and Roth 401(k) investment options, with partial company matching contribution
  • Flexible Paid Time Off plan with no cap or “use it or lose it” requirement

In your application, include your resume and a thoughtful cover letter explaining why you are the ideal candidate for this position. We are looking for a long-term, in-house teammate to join us, not a contractor or consultant.

In this position, you will

  • Join the mold making process in a fully in-house, captive mold shop dedicated to supporting our product lines
  • Provide accurate job-hour estimates for all processes ahead of starting work
  • Participate in CAM and setup reviews prior to machining
  • Prepare insert blocks for the mold making process, including saw-cutting, rough milling, grinding, and hole starts
  • Machine cooling circuit to finished geometry and test tightness
  • Prepare ejector pins
  • Validate machining operations to affirm conformance through direct measurement and inspection
  • Log and compare actual job-hour duration of conforming work against estimate, to continuously improve estimating skills

About you

  • Desire to build a long career in tool and die making
  • Transparent and open communicator
  • Close attention to detail, with a “measure twice, cut once” approach to machining
  • A strong sense of pride in how the precision of a single insert is echoed with every cycle of a mold, across the hundreds of thousands of parts it produces

Your background

  • 0-2 years of experience in a machine shop setting
  • Trained in the use of common machine tools, including manual and CNC
  • Associate’s degree in Machine Technology or similar CAD/CAM program
  • Advanced measurement experience such as CMM is beneficial

Please note that, while your toolbox is welcome, personal tools are not required for this position.
