Production Control Manager

Overview

GVI Inc., a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking a Production Control Manager in San Diego, CA.

• Compile and record production data for industrial establishments to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production. May perform any combination of duties: compile and record production data from customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets following prescribed recording procedures and using different word processing techniques.
• Calculate factors such as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates, using a computer, calculator, and/or spreadsheets.
• Prepare written production reports based on data compiled, tabulated, and computed, following prescribed formats; maintain files of documents used and prepared; compile detailed production sheets or work tickets for use by production workers as guides in assembly or manufacture of products.
• Prepare written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities; compile material inventory records and prepare requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies; chart production using charts, graphs, or pegboards based on statistics compiled for reference by production and management personnel.
• Sort and distribute work tickets or materials and may compute wages from employee time cards and post wage data on records used for preparation of payroll.

• High School;
  Associate’s degree in Business Management;
  Logistics, Materials and Supply Chain Management;
  Operations Management and Supervision;
  Logistics Management; or Quality Control Management.
• 4 years or other relevant experience in the production management of items/units in an electronic servicing or electronic manufacturing environment.
• Experience in scheduling and developing metrics for management.
• Experience in interfacing with Warehousing Personnel, Production Technicians and Engineers to solve delays and impediments in meeting production goals.

Compensation: $100K – $140K

Position is located in San Diego, CA.
