What you'll get to do:
Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws. Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
Ideal candidate must be willing to work 2nd shift and posses the following key attributes:

* Strong skills in comprehending and analyzing complex problems to develop solutions.
* Capability to perform work in an approved environment during specified work hours.
* Flexibility to change physical locations based upon need.
We are looking for you to join our team as a Assembler 3 based out of San Diego, CA.
Basic Qualifications Assembler 3 :
* High School diploma and 4 or more years experience in electronics manufacturing.
* J-Standard solder certification, or similar experience or certifications
* Experience in working closely with hardware development engineers.
* Experience in assembling, rework, and modifying prototype cables, components, testers, fixtures, and chassis.
* Experience in assembling complex RF circuit cards following engineering-level documentation
* Experience developing rework assembly techniques for dense SMT circuit boards.
* Experience in performing assembly and rework operations on all types of SMT packages including values and sizes of materials starting as low as .0102.
* Experience in constructing wiring harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies from engineering sketches.
* Must have active secret security clearance.
* US citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications Assembler 3 :
* SAP access/experience is highly preferred.
* Advanced education and/or experience assembling and troubleshooting RF and/or CNI systems.
* Experience with shop floor manufacturing systems (SAP, Solumina, Tableau, etc.)
* Experience with ESD (electrostatic discharge) and FOD (foreign object damage) control.
* Experience with CUI (controlled unclassified information) and COMSEC (communications security).
* Experience with FAR, ITAR, AS9100, and/or ISO 90001 rules and regulations.

Primary Level Salary Range: $51,400.00 - $85,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
