Position: PNEUDRAULIC SYSTEMS WORKER with Security Clearance
Duties
* You will need to have knowledge of the makeup, modification, and operation of moderately complex hydromechanical/pneumatic fuel control subassemblies.
* You will diagnose, overhaul, repair, and test various components requiring knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical and mechanical principals.
* You will make qualitative evaluations of the internal components of some subassemblies, analyzing the causes of failures, and making the necessary repairs and adjustments to render the components, usable within required specifications.
* You will use hand tools, jigs, fixtures, special tools, test equipment, measuring devices, and cleaning equipment.
* You will select and effectively utilize the proper tooling, including measuring devices such as torque wrenches, feeler gauges, depth gauges, etc.
* You will read and interpret technical data, parts supply manuals, and schematic diagrams.
* You will remove and replace components requiring precise measurements to tolerances of less than one thousandth inch in some applications.
* You will troubleshoot to determine and isolate malfunctions in less complicated assemblies and components.
* You will diagnose operational failures to determine the extent of repairs and whether to rework or replace faulty parts, in less complex subassemblies, assemblies, components and systems to estimate time required to complete repairs. Requirements Conditions of employment

* You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
* Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
* Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required.
