Job Title:
Asphalt Technician
As an Asphalt Technician, you will ensure the quality of our products by conducting in-process inspections and evaluating finished products. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of our production processes.
Responsibilities- Obtain various products at production facilities for testing purposes.
- Perform physical testing on production samples to ensure production runs are within specified limits.
- Secure samples of material for further testing to resolve disputes, including tests for slump, air content, unit weight, and yield.
- Use test standards as listed in ASTM, Cal Trans, or other municipal specifications.
- Enter data into a database, including new and revised mix designs and compressive strength results.
- Frequently lift up to 100 lbs daily.
- Assist other technicians with material testing as needed.
- Perform service-related duties as needed.
- Carry out other duties and assignments as required.
- 1 year of construction experience.
- Experience in quality control and general labor.
- Proficiency in mathematics.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Preferred computer literacy in Microsoft Windows environment with spreadsheet experience.
- Experience in asphalt testing.

Work EnvironmentThis role involves working both outdoors and in the lab office onsite in Miramar. You will experience a dynamic work environment that includes both fieldwork and laboratory analysis.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
