Job SummaryAs an Inventory Planner III you will report directly to the Inventory Control Supervisor and work on‑site in San Diego, CA. The position involves scheduling, planning, coordinating, and tracking the flow of hardware and material throughout the manufacturing process—including fabrication, assembly, testing, and shipment—while managing multi‑level programs and moderate to high‑level complexity jobs.
Key Responsibilities- Generate schedules, flow sheets, and other tools for tracking work in progress (WIP).
- Drive demand for new product introduction, manage the bill of materials, and coordinate long‑lead item procurement.
- Monitor kits through routing operations and QA inspections; issue and expedite kits, kit splits, kit scraps, and re‑generations as required; flag production problems and coordinate resolution.
- Ensure the creation of pick lists, travelers, packing slips, and other shipping paperwork.
- Provide drawings, instructions, and procedures to manufacturing areas; maintain configuration control of production hardware; perform Traveler Change Orders (TCO) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO).
- Participate in safety training and actively comply with safety policies and practices.
- Improve and maintain 5S in the work area and make suggestions for improvements.
- Participate in Lean/Six Sigma activities in the own work area and in cross‑functional events.
- Collaborate in team meetings and activities, including SET team support as appropriate.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in an ERP environment focused on production planning, material shortages, and work order scheduling.
- Experience working in a Windows or Windows‑like interface using PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- 1–2 years of experience with SAP.
- This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by U.S. export laws; you must be a “U.S. Person” under U.S. export laws.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Five (5) years of experience in production control, materials, scheduling, and/or manufacturing with a minimum of three (3) years in PC or materials management.

Location & SalarySan Diego, CA – $33.88 to $42.36 per hour (annual base salary range based on hourly conversion). Salary is influenced by scope, responsibilities, experience, education, and market conditions.
