Salary Range: $20-27 per hour (final offer based on experience, education, skills, and market factors).
About the RoleThe Maintenance Specialist 2 acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks. They perform a range of maintenance duties in the building and plant, supporting the facility team on projects including mechanical, hydraulic, electric, and electronic devices. These assignments are performed under close supervision of the facility's supervisor/manager and normally follow established procedures on routine work, with instructions only on new assignments.
The role is semi‑routine and may require occasional deviation from accepted practice. The candidate may work with outside vendors and will be closely involved in 5S activities.
- Reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, may take direction from production management and/or Maintenance mechanic.
- Troubleshoots all process and facilities related equipment regarding electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical problems.
- Assists with all monthly maintenance for all production and facilities equipment when requested.
- Maintains all office and administrative maintenance requests in SAP and Outlook.
- Performs 5S activities as required daily, weekly, and monthly.
- Works in cooperation with other Managers, Engineers, and departmental supervisors to ensure all equipment is maintained and operational.
- Reports any safety problem immediately.
- Demonstrates willingness and openness to learn new tasks.
- Willing to work on a variety of machines or lines.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required: close vision and color vision.
The employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, work in high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock. Noise levels are usually moderate.
