Overview

We are seeking an initiative-taking, highly motivated, experienced Vice President to oversee a portfolio of multifamily properties on the West Coast, including California, Washington, and Nevada. The Vice President will be responsible for ensuring the overall operational and financial performance of the assigned properties and for delivering exceptional customer service to residents. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of the multifamily industry.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee a portfolio of multifamily properties, ensuring operational excellence and financial performance.
  • Develop and implement property management strategies to maximize revenue, control expenses, and achieve budgeted goals.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure properties are maintained to the highest standards, identify maintenance and repair needs, and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead and manage on-site property management teams, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure high performance and employee development.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including fair housing laws, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with leasing teams to optimize occupancy rates, implement effective marketing strategies, and monitor market trends to stay competitive.
  • Analyze financial statements, budgets, and other reports to track property performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement action plans.
  • Foster positive relationships with residents, addressing concerns and resolving escalated issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure high-quality service delivery and cost-effective maintenance and repairs.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to proactively adapt property management strategies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Real Estate, or related field (preferred but not required).
  • Proven experience as a Vice President or similar role, overseeing a portfolio of multifamily properties and managing Regional Property Managers.
  • Strong knowledge of property management principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, employees, and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in property management software and computer systems.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to travel within the West Coast region as needed.
