Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role located in San Diego, CA for an Event Set-Up Custodial Supervisor. The primary responsibilities include overseeing the preparation and arrangement of facilities for various university events, managing custodial staff, and ensuring venues are clean, organized, and ready for use. The supervisor will coordinate with event organizers to meet specific set-up requirements, supervise the cleaning and maintenance of spaces after events, and maintain an inventory of custodial supplies.
Additionally, the role involves overseeing the scheduling and training of staff to ensure high standards of service and compliance with safety protocols.
- Experience in event set-up coordination and facility preparation
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, including staff scheduling and training
- Ability to manage custodial operations, including cleaning, maintenance, and inventory management
- Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of safety practices and regulations in the workplace
- Adaptability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
- Previous experience in a similar role and familiarity with the higher education environment is advantageous
