Overview
The Sr. Director of Resident Services reports to the Senior Vice President of Asset Management and Resident Services. The objective is to design, implement, monitor, and evaluate resident services programs offered to CHW residents. This position is responsible for achieving positive outcomes across resident service program areas and for leading, managing, and holding accountable all direct reports. In partnership with the Sr.
VP of Asset Management and Resident Services, the Sr. Director will help establish the strategic vision and guiding philosophy that informs short-term and long-term programming goals, drives new program innovation, and measures progress. The Senior Director of Resident Services is expected to have established community relationships in San Diego County.
- Responsible for planning, project management, development, and implementation of self-sustaining resident services programs at new and existing apartment communities, ensuring goals are met and providing leadership on new contracts and proposals.
- Create, evaluate, analyze, and redefine program outcomes that support The Three Pillars to ensure regulatory requirements are met, and ensure effective and efficient coordination in the delivery of all programs.
- In collaboration with the Information Technology department, lead the strategic development and implementation of data collection and systems to monitor and evaluate Resident Data on Economic Security, Social Connectivity, and Educational Progress. Analyze trends and KPIs to generate actionable insights. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to share meaningful metrics that drive program development, enhance resident engagement strategies, and support continuous improvement.
Take ownership of data impact reporting to ensure transparency and accountability. - Identify, develop, and maintain community and service partner relationships in all geographical areas served by CHW.
- Work collaboratively across CHW departments to further achieve operations, strategy, and alignment.
- Work with the SVP of Asset Management and Resident Services to effectively manage on-site budgets, contracts, grants, and overall spending for on-site CHW-staffed programs.
- Oversee updates to program manuals, including policies, procedures, and standards to align with CHW standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure Associate Directors complete monthly and quarterly summary reports for the portfolio-wide scope, including tracking, reviewing, and analyzing data.
- Assist with revenue-generating and fundraising activities to support program operations at any/all locations, including alternative revenue models, grant planning and reporting, donor development, and funder relations as aligned with Advancement staff and the CEO.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in social science, health, education, psychology, human development, or related fields. MA preferred.
- Five to eight years of work experience in program supervision in social service, education, after school, community development programs, or a related field.
- Experience supervising personnel at multiple worksites.
- Experience replicating and scaling an existing program across multiple locations.
- Experience working with diverse and low-income populations to best connect with CHW staff and the community.
The physical ability to perform tasks may require prolonged sitting, standing, and/or moving. Moves throughout office spaces, outdoor spaces, and buildings to access areas of resident services, including surfaces of varying inclinations and ground textures. Moves equipment weighing between 20-40 pounds without assistance and more than 40 pounds with assistance. This role involves inspecting sites and areas at varying distances.

CompensationCompensation varies based on skills, experience, and qualifications: $125,000 to $136,800.
