Role Summary

Oversee operations and management of our affordable and conventional apartment community at Market Street Village in San Diego, CA. This full‑time position includes full benefits and a pay range of $30.00–$32.00 per hour plus housing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of a multi‑family apartment community, ensuring the property remains safe, well‑maintained, and welcoming for all residents.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise on‑site apartment staff, providing guidance on customer service, leasing, and resident relations to ensure smooth operations.
  • Manage the leasing process, including marketing available units, conducting tours, processing applications, and executing leases.
  • Ensure financial performance by creating and maintaining budgets, preparing monthly reports, and monitoring expenditures.
  • Conduct regular inspections (interior and exterior) to maintain compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Administer resident programs and services, building a strong community and maintaining high resident satisfaction.
  • Oversee renovations, including interior and exterior updates, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Maintain compliance with housing regulations.
  • Handle resident concerns and complaints professionally, striving for timely, fair resolution.
  • Prepare and submit annual operating budgets and conduct quarterly budget reviews.
  • Maintain records for all resident transactions, including move‑ins, move‑outs, rent collections, and renewals.
  • Foster a team‑oriented environment, working closely with corporate leadership and staff to achieve community goals.
Qualifications
  • 2–3 years of experience in property management, supervising, and managing affordable apartment communities.
  • 2–3 years of experience managing luxury or conventional apartment communities.
  • Experience with affordable properties, including HUD, LIHTC, and Section 8, is required.
  • Hands‑on experience overseeing daily operations of a multi‑family apartment community, with strong leadership skills.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and rent collections specific to apartment communities.
  • Proficiency with property management software such as Yardi and/or MRI for managing records and financials.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage residents, staff, and vendors effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing operations.
  • Passion for delivering top‑tier customer service and fostering a positive community for residents.
  • Physically able to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile liability insurance.
