ECORP Consulting, Inc. is a full-service environmental consulting firm serving clients across California and adjoining states. We are a group of environmental professionals that delivers high-quality services in various disciplines, including compliance with the Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, National Historic Preservation Act, California Environmental Quality Act, and National Environmental Policy Act; surveys and monitoring of biological and cultural resources;
GIS analysis; water resources modeling and water rights; and habitat restoration design and implementation.
ECORP Consulting, Inc. is seeking a strategic and experienced Group Manager to lead our Natural Resources team in the San Diego office. This is an ideal opportunity for a Senior or Principal-level Biologist who excels in leadership, staff mentorship, project oversight, and business development. You will help shape the team s direction in San Diego.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and mentor a team of biologists and natural resource specialists
- Manage workload planning, timesheets, expenses, and training requests.
- Oversee staffing needs and support recruitment and hiring.
- Conduct performance evaluations and guide staff development.
- Prepare and review proposals, scopes of work, and budgets.
- Foster internal collaboration across ECORP offices and disciplines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biological Sciences, or a related field
- 10+ years of relevant technical experience with a minimum of 2 years in environmental consulting.
- 3+ years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience managing people, budgets, and project pipelines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
- Valid California Driver’s License and willingness to travel locally for site visits and team engagements.
Our base full-time annual salary range is $110,000 to $135,000. The starting salary is determined by relevant experience, education, internal equity, and market conditions.
