Mechanical HVAC Technician I (San Diego, California)

Siemens Logistics LLC is seeking an experienced mechanical / HVAC technician to support the team located in San Diego, California International Airport. This position requires experience and knowledge in the responsibilities as outlined.

• Perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and testing of passenger boarding bridge HVAC equipment as well as baggage handling systems and their associated components. Provide accurate and timely written reports.
• Perform maintenance and repair of baggage handling system components.
• Interpret data and suggest maintenance schedule adjustments to the manager.
• Ensure all preventative and predictive maintenance practices and procedures are followed.
• Perform emergency repairs.
• General cleanup of work areas.
• Lifting (50-100 pounds), bending, reaching, climbing, walking, crawling, standing, sitting, climbing stairs, speaking, sight, and/or hearing to complete job duties.

• 2-5 years of experience.
• HVAC certification.
• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Electro‑electronics / mechanical skills.
• Excellent customer relations skills.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and safe work practices.
• Mechanical troubleshooting skills (belts, bearings, pulleys, drives, gear motors).
• Industrial electrical troubleshooting skills (480V three‑phase motor and control circuits, schematic reading, VFDs, motor starters, I/O systems).
• Basic PLC knowledge.
• Maintenance management software skills (preventive and corrective maintenance, scheduling, inventory).
• Valid driver license with clean MVR desirable.
• Ability to pass all background checks and security screenings per airport requirements.
• Willigness to work varying 24×7 shifts and holidays as determined by management.
• Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States.
