Senior Custodial Crew Leader (Facilities Services)

Overview

As a Senior Custodial Crew Leader, you will lead a custodial team, ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and accessibility of campus buildings. You will coordinate work with district departments, supervise staff, and support sustainable operations across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise, train, and schedule custodial staff for daily operations.
  • Develop and manage custodial budgets, control expenditures, and track cost‑saving initiatives.
  • Coordinate custodial work with other district departments and external organizations.
  • Operate custodial equipment, follow chemical safety procedures, and maintain safe work practices.
  • Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with district policies and regulations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Common tools, modern cleaning methods, and custodial equipment knowledge.
  • Proficiency in basic computer software (word processing, spreadsheets, databases).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including diplomacy, courtesy, and effective written and oral communication.
  • Principles of effective supervision, training, and staff development.
  • Record‑keeping techniques and an overall knowledge of building and maintenance trades.
