Overview

Maintenance Technician II - San Diego at Action Property Management. This is a full-time role supervised by the Chief Building Engineer, focused on upkeep and repair of common areas within the Association.

Who We Are Action Property Management has a four-decade legacy as a premier HOA management provider. Founded in 1984, we serve over 300 communities across 9 offices with nearly 900 team members who are dedicated to integrity, excellence, and care for people.

Compensation: $26 - $28

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain optimum performance of building systems, including mechanical, electrical/electronic, CCTV, fire/life safety, smoke control, access control/security, HVAC, and water circulation. Coordinate with necessary subcontractors to ensure equipment performance.
  • Train building staff on the proper operation and maintenance of systems and equipment.
  • Schedule and supervise city/state inspections and testing of common area equipment (e.g., annual fire/life safety testing, elevator inspections, recall testing).
  • Ensure compliance with Fire/Life Safety inspections and repairs.
  • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program.
  • Oversee third-party vendor performance and operations.
  • Respond to inquiries and investigate resident concerns, resolving issues in a timely and courteous manner.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Onsite engineering experience in a luxury high-rise community or hotel; HOA experience is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with MS Office
  • Reliable transportation to multiple San Diego properties
  • Available by cell phone 24/7 for emergencies
  • Pre-employment background check and post-offer drug screening
  • Experience with high-rise mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and Fire/Life/Safety systems
  • Familiarity with the Uniform Commercial Building Code
  • EPA/608 Universal License, Fire Pump Certificate, HVAC Certification
  • Valid California Driver’s License and auto insurance
