Summary
You will serve as a WELDER LEADER in the DEPARTMENT OF NAVY to include work sites of Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Trident Refit Facility Bangor, Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility.
Applicants will only be considered for positions within their own UIC. For example: if you are within UIC 4523A, you will only be considered for positions within 4523A.

Salary: $30.11 – $50.37 per hour
Responsibilities- Ensure tools and materials are available to complete assigned projects.
- Plan and arrange for proper and safe work operations for assignments.
- Analyze trade requirements through audits, surveillance and/or incident reports.
- Provide instructions and direction to Welder shop personnel.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
- Must pass E-Verify employment verification.
- Must meet any medical, physical, and fitness requirements.
- Must be willing to travel as required.
- Must successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- Must obtain and maintain security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Must wear personal protective equipment as required.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays if required.
- Ability to interpret instructions and specifications, including blueprint reading.
- Ability to lead or supervise.
- Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment.
- Dexterity and safety proficiency.
- Knowledge of metals.
- Technical practices, including theoretical, precise, artistic.
- Use of measuring instruments (mechanical, electrical, electronic).
