Sr. Mobile Service Technician, San Diego
Join Lucid Motors as a Sr. Mobile Service Technician in San Diego, where you will repair and maintain our luxury electric vehicles in the field. This role requires independence, strong diagnostic skills, and a passion for sustainable transportation.
Responsibilities- Confidently repair electro‑mechanical issues and perform diagnostics.
- Perform advanced EV repairs at partner locations and Service Centers.
- Maintain a high knowledge level of high voltage, low voltage, and general electric vehicle systems.
- Follow correct repair order documentation procedures, i.e. The Three C’s.
- Effectively work with the appropriate software suite to properly and completely document all customer vehicle interactions.
- Communicate and collaborate with other members of the service team and customers.
- Function as a Service Advisor and perform parts department duties, including ordering, returns, and inventory management.
- Accurately document client concerns for diagnosis and repair.
- Invoice and collect payment.
- Perform customer service duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and updating customers on repair status.
- Review appointment schedule to plan travel time and visit duration for mobile services.
- Travel in the assigned territory and other service locations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 4+ years of experience as a Service Technician or Diagnosis Technician.
- ASE Certifications (A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, L3, L4-ADAS) – (Required).
- Prior experience diagnosing and repairing High Voltage (HV) systems, Low Voltage (LV) systems, and Electric Vehicle powertrains.
- Experience in luxury automobile repair environments.
- Self‑sufficient, highly organized, and comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Customer‑facing experience with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and proprietary DMS software.
- EPA 609 Certification.
- Willingness to complete Lucid provided CPR training post‑hire.
- Valid driver’s license with no suspensions within the past year. Drivers under 21 must have maintained a driver’s license for a minimum of 3 years and successfully complete Lucid Training upon hire.
- Previous Mobile Service Technician experience.
- ASE Certified Master Technician.
Base Pay Range (hourly): $34–$46 USD.
