Position: Ride Technician - Full Time, SeaWorld San Diego

Ride Technician - Full Time, Sea World San Diego

Join Sea World Parks & Entertainment in this full‑time ride technician role. As a key member of our team, you’ll inspect, maintain, install, and repair rides and attractions, ensuring safety and guest enjoyment.

What You Get To Do
  • Inspect, maintain, deploy and repair rides and attractions.
  • Inspect elevators and moving walkways.
  • Disassemble motors, controls, hydraulic systems, and other mechanical components.
  • Work with computer‑controlled equipment and PLC programmable controllers.
  • Fill out inspection and work order forms, clean ride areas, and dispose of paint, oil and solvents.
  • Use precise measuring devices such as micrometer, calipers, volt‑ohmmeters.
  • Operate high‑pressure hydraulic systems and equipment at high elevations.
  • Perform disassembly, overhaul, and control repairs on hydraulic power units, accumulators, and associated systems.
  • Work with low‑voltage electrical systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What It Takes To Succeed
  • Minimum of three years related experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Valid California driver’s license (out‑of‑state residents may provide local DMV report).
  • Provide own tool set and secure storage.
  • Complete Company Vehicle Driver Training and obtain SWC driver’s license.
  • Positive interaction with guests and coworkers from diverse backgrounds and individuals with special needs.
  • Know proper use of hand tools.
  • Ability to work on pneumatic systems, compressors, air dryers.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Ability to work at high elevations.
  • Pass maintenance certification exam and annual quality assurance audit.
  • Strong mathematical skills, verbal and written communication in English.
Availability
  • Assigned to work night shift for a full month.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends, holidays, early mornings & late evenings.
Compensation

USD 37.00 per hour.
