Job Summary:
Perform general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings, requiring practical skill in trades such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work.
- Replace electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors.
- Use plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings.
- Repair or replace sinks, water coolers, and toilets.
- Paint structures and equipment.
- Repair or replace concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks.
- Replace damaged paneling and floor tiles.
- Hang doors, install door locks, and replace broken window panes.
- Perform general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
- Other duties assigned.
- Proficient written and oral communication skills.
- Ensure on‑time service delivery and address vendor performance issues.
- Navigate issues, problems, and concerns to achieve positive outcomes for customers.
- Identify and escalate support situations requiring urgent attention.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in an outdoor or indoor building environment.
- Experience hanging doors, installing door locks, and replacing broken window panes preferred.
- Able to understand verbal or written directions from lead supervisor or other craftsmen.
- Lift 50 lbs., squat, bend, stoop, kneel for short periods; climb a ladder; stand for long periods; maintain constant arm extensions.
- Occasional exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals; minor safety hazards such as cuts and bruises may occur.
- Must successfully pass a federal, state, or local government background investigation.
