CompensationPay $24–$28 per hour, depending on experience.
Role OverviewInside Sales Counter Sales Representative with CDL for delivery of medical, industrial, and specialty gases, welding equipment, and hard goods. The position responds to walk‑in and telephone inquiries and delivers up to a 20‑ton truck of compressed gas cylinders, liquid cylinders, and hard goods on scheduled or unscheduled routes.
Responsibilities- Solicit sales from walk‑in and telephone customers, identifying product needs and locating merchandise.
- Receive payment for goods or services, enter sales into the computer system, and ensure all administrative and accounting procedures are followed.
- Assist customers with product information, wrap and bag purchases, and help clients load merchandise into their vehicles.
- Follow all safety procedures for cylinder handling, storage, and delivery.
- Maintain showroom cleanliness as per management procedures.
- Safely load, deliver, and unload hard goods, compressed gas, and liquid cylinders to customers.
- Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections, documenting deficiencies and ensuring all safety items are operational.
- Minimum of 2 years of product, warehouse, or sales experience (or equivalent education and experience).
- Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Valid Class A or B CDL with HAZMAT endorsements (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire);
Airbrake endorsement preferred. - Maintain a valid driver's license, medical card, and endorsements.
- No more than two traffic convictions or at‑fault accidents in the last three years.
- No alcohol or controlled substance DUI within the last seven years.
- Must work in a drug‑free environment.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs regularly and move more than 125 lbs with equipment.
- One year of CDL driving experience within the last five years, or proof of completion of a trucking school program within the last five years.
- Proficiency with Google products.
- Knowledge of gases or welding.
