Wilson Getty LLP is a mid-size San Diego law firm seeking an Associate Attorney with at least three (3) years of experience to join our civil litigation defense practice, with a particular emphasis on healthcare and long-term care litigation
.

About the Role

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, self-motivated attorney who can navigate complex legal and factual issues while working strategically to achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients. The associate will manage cases with increasing independence while collaborating closely with partners, paralegals, and support staff.

• Manage civil litigation defense matters, including healthcare, from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, discovery, and substantive motions
• Analyze medical records and complex factual issues
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Appear at hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and experts
• Develop case strategy and evaluate exposure and resolution options

• Active California Bar membership, in good standing
• Minimum of three years of civil litigation experience
• Prior healthcare and/or elder abuse experience strongly preferred
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and handle a full caseload independently
• Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive
• Professional, collegial demeanor and strong work ethic
• Starting salary of $140,000+, commensurate with experience
