Overview
Location: Downtown San Diego
Schedule: Hybrid & Flexible (In-office Thursdays)
A boutique law firm in downtown San Diego is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to support a significant case set for trial on September 18. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is exceptionally organized, and can bring order to complex litigation materials. You will work closely with firm attorneys as well as outside trial counsel who does not have staff support.
The firm offers a drama-free, collaborative environment with flexible schedules and a hybrid work structure. The firm recently made a highly successful temp-to-hire placement and is excited to add another reliable, proactive team member.
- Organize, track, and index extensive discovery currently in disarray
- Manage document databases primarily using Excel, Adobe, and Microsoft Office
- Prepare deposition summaries and assist with research as needed
- Coordinate with witnesses and outside trial attorney
- Assist in trial preparation and trial-related timelines
- Ensure deadlines and litigation milestones are met with precision
- Support attorneys with case management and administrative litigation tasks
- Assist with timekeeping in Timeslips
- Prior trial experience strongly preferred
- Litigation background required; environmental law experience is a plus, but firm is willing to train the right candidate
- Highly proactive, deadline-driven, and able to bring structure to complex files
- Open to junior candidates who are motivated and eager to learn
- Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently and supporting multiple attorneys
- Maintains a calm, professional demeanor - no drama
- Ability to work part-time or full-time depending on availability and workload
- Hybrid schedule with everyone onsite Thursdays
- Other days are flexible depending on candidate preference and workload
- Temp-to-hire with potential for long-term placement
- Flexible start date, pending coordination with co-counsel
Up to $50/hour
