We are seeking a Trusts & Estates Attorney with deep experience advising high‑net‑worth individuals and families on sophisticated estate planning and trust administration matters. This role is ideal for a self‑motivated, detail‑driven attorney who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys managing complex matters, and values collaboration, leadership, and continuous learning.

The successful candidate will bring at least five years of recent experience designing and drafting advanced estate plans, handling complex trust administrations, and serving as a trusted advisor to clients with significant wealth and multigenerational planning needs.

What You’ll Do:
  • Draft sophisticated irrevocable trusts, including:
  • Crummey trusts
  • Intentionally Defective Grantor Trusts (IDGTs)
  • Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts (ILITs)
  • Grantor Retained Annuity Trusts (GRATs)
  • Advise on complex planning issues such as:
  • Blended families
  • Fiduciary income tax matters
  • International estate planning and cross‑border considerations
  • Manage and oversee complex trust administrations
  • Prepare and review estate and gift tax returns
  • Lead client meetings and serve as a primary point of contact
  • Conduct legal research and apply findings to practical client solutions
  • Maintain organized, accurate client records within CRM and document management systems
  • Review and oversee the work of associate attorneys
  • Delegate assignments and provide strategic guidance
  • Mentor and support the professional development of attorneys and legal support staff
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues in a team‑oriented environment
What We’re Looking For:

Education & Credentials:

  • Juris Doctor (JD)
  • Active member of the California State Bar
  • Strong expertise in Federal and California tax law
  • LL.M. in Taxation preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum of two(2) years of recent trusts and estates experience
  • Proven experience leading client meetings and managing client relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of complex matters

Skills & Attributes:

  • Exceptional analytical, drafting, writing, and research skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to multitask effectively
  • Comfortable working independently while contributing meaningfully to a team
  • Natural leader who enjoys mentoring others and taking initiative
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
