Overview
These roles are for experienced Litigation Paralegals who already support active cases, manage discovery tasks, and assist with trial preparation. We're hiring for multiple San Diego law firms handling matters in personal injury, civil litigation, family law, and environmental law. Some roles are permanent. Others are defined‑term contract positions supporting active caseloads, trial prep, or coverage needs.
What You ll DoYou ll support attorneys through all phases of litigation, including:
- Manage cases from intake through trial and resolution
- Assist with discovery, including document organization, review coordination, and production
- Draft, review, and organize pleadings, discovery responses, subpoenas, and case documents
- Coordinate with clients, experts, vendors, and internal teams
- Maintain case calendars, litigation deadlines, and trial schedules
- Support trial preparation, including exhibits, trial binders, witness files, and courtroom materials
- Compensation transparency
- Direct‑hire salaries range from $60,000 - $115,000
- Competitive hourly rates for temporary assignments
- Work focused on active litigation matters, not clerical overflow
- Attorneys rely on paralegals to manage deadlines, keep cases organized, and support trial prep
- Bachelor s degree and ABA‑approved Paralegal Certificate
- 3-5 years of litigation paralegal experience
- Experience in one or more of the following practice areas:
- Family Law
- Strong trial preparation experience
- Familiarity with litigation support and case management tools such as Clio, Pro Law, Trial Director, or similar systems
Engagement types vary by firm and may include:
- Temporary assignments ranging from approximately 1 month to 6 months
- Temp‑to‑hire roles for candidates who want to evaluate fit before committing
- Direct‑hire opportunities for paralegals ready for a permanent position
