Litigation Paralegal - Environmental Law (Temp-to-Hire)
Practice Area: Environmental Law (Plaintiff/Defense)
Status: Temp-to-Hire
Location: Hybrid - In-office Thursdays; flexible schedule other days

Our collaborative, drama‑free legal team is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support an upcoming September trial. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced litigation environment, excels in organization and case management, and enjoys working closely with attorneys across both internal and external teams.
Responsibilities- Case & Discovery Management
- Organize, track, and index discovery materials currently in disarray.
- Build and maintain clear, efficient document‑management systems—primarily via Excel.
- Prepare and maintain case files in coordination with in‑house and outside counsel.
- Litigation Support
- Draft, edit, and format litigation documents using Microsoft Office and Adobe.
- Prepare deposition summaries and conduct factual/legal research.
- Assist with exhibits, witness coordination, trial binders, and other trial‑focused tasks.
- Coordination & Communication
- Collaborate directly with outside trial counsel and internal attorneys to meet deadlines.
- Coordinate witness scheduling, communication, and availability.
- Support project management efforts around key trial milestones and timelines.
- Administrative & Timekeeping
- Perform accurate time entry and billing support using Timeslips.
- Assist with general administrative and organizational tasks, ensuring smooth workflows.
Required
- Prior litigation experience (trial preparation experience strongly preferred).
- Exceptional organizational skills with an emphasis on document control and indexing.
- Proactive, detail‑oriented, and reliable under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in:
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Adobe
- Excel (especially for tracking and indexing documents)
Preferred
- Familiarity with environmental law.
- Experience with in a small‑firm or flexible work environment.
- Ability to collaborate seamlessly with multiple attorneys, including external trial counsel.
- Drama‑free, professional, and respectful team culture - maintaining this is essential.
- Hybrid schedule: everyone is in office on Thursdays; other days based on workload.
- Temp-to-hire: successful track record with this model.
