Attorney - Litigation Associate

A law firm seeks an Attorney - Litigation Associate in San Diego, CA. The firm focuses on Consumer Defense and Compliance & Regulatory practices, representing financial services clients. The role involves defending consumer law cases and providing compliance advice.

• Defend consumer law cases in federal and state courts, focusing on class actions.
• Manage all litigation stages, including discovery and trials.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop strategies.
• Engage with clients and opposing counsel.
• Coordinate with local counsel and manage cases with insurance risk managers.
• Provide industry-specific compliance advice and draft legal memoranda.
• Review and draft policies to minimize risks.
• Conduct compliance audits and prepare for regulatory reviews.

• JD Degree from an ABA-approved law school.
• Top 1/2 of law school class, law review, or moot court preferred.
• Licensure in multiple states and federal court admissions helpful.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
• Comfortable in a paperless environment.
• Ability to manage a large caseload and develop strategies.
• Independent, highly motivated, with excellent research and communication skills.
