This role ensures that Data and AI initiatives have clear business cases, budget and capacity visibility, and transparent tracking of outcomes, and that executive decision-makers receive clear, outcome-focused materials. The role does not own delivery execution and does not have veto authority on scale decisions but provides the financial and outcome inputs that inform those decisions.

  • Develop and maintain standardized business case templates for Data & AI initiatives

  • Review and validate value assumptions in partnership with Finance and initiative owners

  • Track expected versus realized outcomes for scaled initiatives

  • Financial Control of the Data & AI Portfolio

  • Maintain an integrated Data & AI budget view, including actuals, forecasts, and variances

  • Partner with Finance to track performance against approved budgets

  • Surface budget risks, tradeoffs, and investment implications to Delivery Office and CDAO leadership

  • Single Source of Financial & Value Truth

  • Maintain value, cost, and dependency inputs for the Data & AI portfolio source-of-truth

  • Provide standardized financial and value inputs to Enterprise PMO (EPMO) for monthly executive reporting

  • Align Finance, AI Hub, and Delivery Office stakeholders on consistent value definitions and measures

  • Executive-Ready Data & AI Narrative

  • Develop value, budget, and outcome content for executive leadership and Board-level materials

  • Track decisions and follow-ups from AI Strategy Executive Forums and Steering Committees

  • Ensure executive materials clearly connect investment decisions to outcomes achieved

  • Outcome-Driven Vendor Performance

  • Govern delivery-related vendor statements of work (SOWs) from a value and outcomes perspective

  • Track vendor spend against expected benefits and delivery milestones

  • Surface vendor performance risks to Delivery Office leadership

  • Early Visibility to Portfolio Risks

  • Identify cross-organizational risks related to funding, capacity, and data readiness

  • Escalate risks with clear impact statements and actionable resolution options

  • Track mitigation and resolution of material risks impacting value or delivery

  • Stronger Value Discipline Across Teams

  • Build reusable templates for business cases, value tracking, and reporting

  • Support capability development in value management and financial thinking

  • Maintain a network of value and benefits champions across initiatives
