Position: Lead VTC Technician with Security Clearance
Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Lead VTC (Video Teleconference) Technician to support a NIWC PAC operational environment based in San Diego, CA . This position is a full-time role that will be fully onsite . This position is critical in maintaining reliable, secure conferencing capabilities across classified and unclassified environments. As a Lead VTC Technician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless execution of mission-critical communications through installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and live operational support of VTC and enterprise audiovisual systems.

Key Responsibilities:

* Install, configure, and maintain VTC systems within conference rooms and secure facilities.
* Integrate VTC components with existing network and audiovisual infrastructure.
* Configure and optimize codecs, cameras, microphones, displays, and control systems.
* Ensure VTC system installations comply with DoD and facility security requirements.
* Prepare conference rooms prior to scheduled meetings to ensure operational readiness.
* Operate VTC systems during live sessions, including call setup, bridging, and performance monitoring.
* Troubleshoot issues in real time to prevent or resolve meeting disruptions.
* Coordinate with remote sites to validate compatibility and connectivity.
* Support both classified and unclassified conferencing per security policies.
* Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues impacting VTC services.
* Perform preventive maintenance and recurring system health checks.
* Manage and maintain VTC equipment inventory.
* Develop and maintain system documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, efficiency, and user experience.
* Provide technical guidance or oversight to junior technicians when needed. Requirements:
* Active Secret Clearance

* IAT Level II Certification - One of the following:
* CCNA-Security
* CySA+
* GICSP
* GSEC
* Security+ CE
* CND
* SSCP
* 5+ years of experience supporting VTC or enterprise audiovisual systems
* Experience installing and troubleshooting enterprise VTC platforms (Cisco, Poly, Crestron, etc.)
* Understanding of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, VLANs, QoS)
* Experience with classified conferencing environments preferred
* Strong communication and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications
* Familiarity with network diagnostics and monitoring tools
* Experience supporting secure conference room buildouts
* Knowledge of AV control systems and signal flow Compensation to include
* Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 (depending on experience)
