Network Specialist - Senior

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Network Specialist to support a high‑performance computing modernization program through On‑Site work in Point Loma, CA
. This role is ideal for someone experienced in advanced networking environments who enjoys supporting mission‑critical systems within secure, high‑performance computing settings.

• Support architecture, integration, and optimization of enterprise‑level network and system environments, including routing, switching, firewalls, and system interfaces.
• Evaluate, test, and implement hardware and software solutions while contributing to system‑level design, quality assurance reviews, and performance improvements.
• Develop and maintain system‑wide testing strategies, troubleshooting processes, and documentation for network operations.
• Analyze operational requirements, create custom software or utility enhancements when needed, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver integrated IT solutions.

• 4+ years of hands‑on technical experience in networking or systems engineering.
• Strong background in firewall technologies.
• Proficiency in routing protocols, switching, VLANs, trunking, and OSI model principles.
• Must be eligible to obtain/maintain Secret‑level security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (equivalent experience considered).

• Salary Range: $120,000 – $135,000 (based on experience)
