We currently have a prospective opportunity for an Audio‑Visual Command Meeting Engineer to support the Defense Logistics Agency in San Diego, California.
Job SummaryAudio‑Visual Command Meeting (AVCM) Engineers will travel within their respective zones and provide augmentation support to other zones as needed.
Travel Requirements- May have to travel throughout Zone D (OCONUS – Alaska, Hawaii, Japan, Italy, Middle East, Germany, Korea).
- Support Senior Executive Services (SES) and military officers’ conference and meeting spaces.
- Install, pull, terminate, and test all audio‑visual (AV) cables, connectors, and interfaces, including projection screens, plasma TVs, and speakers.
- Install AV systems on client sites.
- Read blueprints and wire AV racks.
- Act as Lead Audio‑Visual Engineer.
- Manage AV projects with various models and makes of equipment.
- Use thorough understanding of testing, analysis, and corrective action on systems, networks, hardware, and software.
- Know and understand all wire and connector types on all AV‑related cables.
- Have experience with audio‑visual equipment, internet‑based video solutions, switchers, codecs, interfaces, and room design.
- Will access classified areas to support Enterprise JWICS with installation and troubleshooting system hardware.
Certification requires a minimum of one of the following: AMX Technician (Networked AV) Certification, Completed Crestron CTI Technician Track Certification, or AVIXA CTS certification.
Experience:
Five (5) years of relevant experience and experience working with:
- Crestron
- Cisco
- Biamp/AMX
- Extron
Requires an active TOP SECRET clearance.
