Job Description
Position Details:
The System Administrator (SA) is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of the Integrated Property Tax System (IPTS) system. Serves as a technical expert in managing and maintaining operating systems, business applications, security tools, web servers, networking of both hardware and software. This individual will assist project teams with technical issues in order to have a successful Implementation, Testing, and Production delivery.
The System Administrator will be involved in the following areas on a regular basis:
- Release Management Support – internal release of IPTS components to project work streams and external release to our customer.
- Aumentum Release Management
- Aumentum Configuration Release Management and Support
- Data Conversion Release Management
- Interface Release Management and Support
- Data Warehouse Release Management and Support
- Reporting Release Management and Support
- Testing Support
- IPTS System Integration Support
- Documentation of Installation Procedures
- Assist in finalizing technical documentation in preparation for system go-live and Production support
- Maintain an up-to-date system documentation
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
- Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
- Perform backup and file archival required by the ITO governance.
- Adhere to security governance by following user access request and maintenance processes.
- Updates in house tools to manage software and hardware inventory.
- Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies.
- Upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary.
- Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
- Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required during UAT and Production. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.

Required Education and Qualifications:
- Typically a technical Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 6 years related experience or a Master’s degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience.
- Bachelor's Degree or Master’s degree in a Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
- Experience working for a Consulting Services organization
- Experience working with State or Local government a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a time critical environment
- Must excel in an agile / iterative development environment
Special Skills/ Abilities
- Hands on proficiency in cell culture and/or fermentation and good aseptic techniques. Bioreactor/fermenter operation experience is preferred.
- Good documentation, writing and communication skills in a team based setting are essential.
