Overview
We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Quickbooks Workforce Solutions Data Science Team. This role is focused on growth across Intuit’s Payroll and Human Capital Management products and services. The team uses advanced analytics and artificial intelligence to deliver exceptional customer experiences and help businesses manage finances and employees more effectively.
As a Senior Data Scientist on the Product Data Science team, you will explore data to generate insights that influence the strategic direction of Workforce Solutions. Your work will directly shape product development, customer experience, and go-to-market decisions.
Responsibilities- Define KPIs and Success Metrics:
Establish key business indicators for projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives and clear measures of success. - Data Visualization:
Translate complex data into clear, accessible dashboards and other visualizations that help stakeholders understand key insights and make informed decisions. - Experimentation and A/B Testing:
Design, implement, and analyze experiments using a hypothesis-driven approach. Provide insights and recommendations based on test outcomes to optimize business strategies. - Predictive Analytics and Modeling:
Develop predictive models and methodologies to uncover growth opportunities and support long-term business planning. - Communication and
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with Product, Marketing, and Finance teams to identify opportunities, create data-driven strategies, and influence decision-making. Translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable insights.
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science or a related quantitative field is required. Advanced degrees, particularly a Master's or PhD in economics or statistics, are highly desirable.
- 4+ years of experience in product analytics or data science.
- Ability to develop scalable, reusable analytic solutions.
- Applied experience leveraging machine learning—including but not limited to predictive forecasting, explainable ML, and end-to-end model pipeline development—to drive meaningful business impact.
- A demonstrated ability to navigate through ambiguity and deliver results that significantly impact the business.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Expertise in SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Qliksense.
