Overview
Network Refresh Engineer — San Diego, CA — Contracted — Mid Level
Key Responsibilities- Perform overnight cutovers of Cisco network devices (switches, routers, wireless, etc.).
- Configure, install, and validate new hardware as part of the refresh project.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during and after cutovers to ensure smooth transitions.
- Collaborate with project managers and client IT teams to confirm successful deployment.
- Provide post-cutover documentation and knowledge transfer.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco network infrastructure (Catalyst, Nexus, wireless).
- Prior experience performing network refreshes and after-hours cutovers.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in routing, switching, and connectivity issues.
- Cisco CCNP (or higher) strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication and ability to work under time-sensitive conditions.
- Location:
Onsite in San Diego, CA. - Schedule:
Overnight cutovers (project-based, outside normal business hours). - Duration:
Contract role, tied to the refresh project timeline.
